Lao Tzu...

Is there a difference between yes and no?
Is there a difference between good and evil?
Must I fear what others fear? Nonsense!

Others are contented; they enjoy the sacrificial feast.
They revel in comforts.
I alone am drifting, not knowing where I am.
Like a newborn before it learns to smile,
I am alone, I have no place to go.

Others have more than they need. I have nothing.
I am a fool. I am confused!
Others are clear and bright;
I am dim and weak.
Others are sharp and clever;
I am dull and stupid.
I drift like the waves of the sea,
Without direction, like the wind, ever restless.

Everyone else is busy,
I am aimless and depressed.
I am different: I am nourished by the Tao.
