A blog about preservationist breeding of Azawakh, one of the world's last remaining canine landraces...
...was the first puppy gifted to my friend Marya on the 2007 ABIS expedition. Chomeissa was tiny but her temperament!, well, suffice to say we soon nick-named her "Little Miss Firecracker". The photos show Chomeissa as a puppy in the Sahel and at my place here in NM as an adult. The other photos are of Marya surrounded by hungry puppies, and my favorite photo of me with Marya in the Sahel. The photos were taken by Corine Lundqvist and Gerhard Hans. I look forward to the day Chomeissa will have puppies of her own, Insh'Allah.
